Baby H 2.0 Week 17

How far along: 17 weeks

Baby H2.0: Weighs 167g and is 13 cm from crown to rump, about the size of a Pomegranate! One of my favourite fruits to add to salads.

Gender: Unknown, I am hoping that we will find out around the 20 week mark.

Weight gain:+ 2.1 kg since we found out, that’s a loss of 900 grams this week but expect that will be the last of the losses.

Sleep: This past week I have been exhausted, I ended up having Thursday off and pretty much slept all day.

Symptoms: Just super tired this week, hoping that passes soon as I am too busy to be tired.

Cravings / Aversions: Still eating my way through the world’s supply of jalapeno’s!

Maternity Clothes: I am thinking it is almost time to start buying some maternity shirts things are starting to get a bit snug but I will wait a little longer, the belly really popped this week.

Exercise: I am aiming for 5000 steps per day, with a 5 minute walk around my office every hour between 9am and 5pm.

Mood: Still super happy, tired and a little emotional this week.

Wedding rings: Off –  side note my engagement ring broke and I still haven’t fixed it which is why I am not wearing any rings at the moment

Belly Button in or out: It’s currently an innie, was the hold last pregnancy I am assuming it will stay the same.

Movement: Still no movement and its kind of worrying me, I had already felt Levi at this stage and I am smaller than I was last time. When we did get our last scan though the baby didn’t move too much where as Levi never stopped moving in utero so maybe that is why.

What I miss: Not feeling so tired all the time.

Preeclampsia: No signs.

Best moment of the week: Had a doctor’s appointment and everything is moving along well.

Worst moment of the week: Taking a day off work.

What I am looking forward to: My sisters engagement party on Saturday.

There you have the week 17 recap, this week has been a long week. Last time the second trimester was the easiest for me but this past week it’s feeling more like the first.

Did you struggle with exhaustion throughout your second trimester?
