Baby H 2.0 Week 14

How far along: 14 weeks

Baby H2.0: Weighs 42g and is 8.6 cm from crown to rump, about the size of a Peach, isn’t that just peachy.

Gender: Unknown, having a lot of vivid dreams about finding out it’s a boy and mourning the loss of never having a daughter. I feel guilty about the dreams and pray that if I have another boy I won’t be nearly as ridiculous about it.

Weight gain:+ 1.3 kg since we found out. I actually thought I had gained more but double checked my stats and thankfully its less than I thought it was. Haven’t gained anything since last week so that’s a win too.

Sleep: It’s actually been a great week for sleep but I have been so busy with my MBA studies I haven’t been getting to bed till around 11:30pm most nights so I imagine it’s just exhaustion that is helping me sleep through.

Symptoms: Exhaustion, oily hair, oily skin, constipation and sore feet. Considering we have a long way to go I need to pull it together.

Cravings / Aversions: Still all about the Jalapenos and loving anything with chilli. I have really been looking forward to freshly made pasta with pesto but I just haven’t had time to cook.

Maternity Clothes: Pant extenders are still going strong and on the smallest extension so far. I will need to look at a few new shirts shortly as they are beginning to get a bit snug but I will push it for a bit longer.

Exercise: I am aiming for 5000 steps per day, with a 5 minute walk around my office every hour between 9am and 5pm.

Mood: I have been a little short and snappy lately, especially to Dylan which is not good. I need to work on being less bitchy.

Wedding rings: Off –  side note my engagement ring broke and I still haven’t fixed it which is why I am not wearing any rings at the moment

Belly Button in or out: It’s currently an innie, was the hold last pregnancy I am assuming it will stay the same.

Movement: Nothing yet, thought I felt something the other night but I am pretty sure it was just gas ha ha.

What I miss: Being able to walk up the stairs at work without losing my breath.

Preeclampsia: No signs.

Best moment of the week: Getting a low reading for the nuchal translucency screening. Not that it changes much, if it had come back as a high possibility it would just mean that we would be more prepared for the challenges ahead when meeting our little one.

Worst moment of the week: I have started to get some pretty strong pains in my groin and am a little scared that it may be varicose veins, I need to organise a doctors app but that on the bottom of my to-do list.

What I am looking forward to: Organising a pregnancy massage at Endota Spa.


Well, that is my recap for week 14. I cannot believe that everything is travelling so fast, the baby will be here before I know it.
