Autumn Vegan Beauty Box

Few things in life get me more excited than finding vegan beauty products, there is something so satisfying about pampering yourself or putting on a full face of makeup knowing that what you are using was never test on animals or contains any yucky animal by products.

I recently stumbled upon The Vegan Box (see my March review HERE) and their Beauty Box which ships every 2 months, of course I had to sign up and waited patiently for my first box to arrive.

Thankfully when I opened my post box this morning I had a beautiful big box waiting and I tore straight into it as soon as I arrived in my office.

The bi-monthly beauty box contains  5 to 8, ranging in sizes from full, sample and travel sized items which are all chemical and palm oil free and completely vegan. Each box will set you back $49.95 plus $3.95 shipping to Australia but contains over $60 worth of products.

I was delighted to open my box and find over $80 worth of products with quite a few full sized products!

// Luna Bronze Gradual Self Tanning Moisturiser //

200ml / Full Size / Valued at $26.00

“Luna Bronze is a luxurious gradual tanning moisturiser designed for everyday use. Containing a blend of ultra nourishing and hydrating oils such as coconut, rose hip & jojoba; Luna Bronze will moisturise and replenish the skin whilst building a natural, even tan.”

When I opened up the box and saw this giant tube I was instantly ecstatic, give me a full sized 200ml product and I am a pretty happy girl no matter what it is. I then realised it was a tanning moisturiser and was even happier, I am paler than a vampire (I hate sun) and am only going to get worse through winter.

I love gradual tanning moisture creams and this one smells beautiful, very crisp and clean you can really smell the mandarin, lemon myrtle and orange blossom. The cream is a great silky consistency and soaks in without leaving any oily residue. I look forward to keeping a healthy natural glow throughout winter.

At this point I cant give a full review as I have only used it once so far and there wasn’t a dramatic difference (thankfully) but I am pretty happy.

// The Jojoba Company Australian Jojoba //

15ml / Half Size / Valued at $12.95

” Jojoba is naturally antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and hypo-allergenic, so it is used to soothe a wide range of skin conditions. Suitable for all skin types including oily skin and the most sensitive baby skin. Jojoba makes a wonderful facial cleanser, gently massage 1 – 2 pumps into damp skin morning and night and remove with a warm face washer. You can also apply as a moisturiser or skin serum morning and night as part of your daily skincare routine. The appearance of many skin conditions will improve with continued use.”

My nightly face routine always includes rose hip oil as a moisturiser, last week a ran out of oil and have yet to buy some, thankfully this little baby turned up in my box and I am beyond happy. I started my before bed face routine at 5:30pm tonight after I got home as I was so excited and wanted to try this but didn’t want to wait till 9ish so off went the make up and on went the oil.

4 out of 5 stars

This oil doesn’t have a super strong fragrance which I am glad about and one pump goes a long way. It soaks into the skin quickly without leaving a tight feeling, I will be recommending this oil to my sisters.

// Seed Skincare Organic Hand and Nail Cream //

50 ml / Half Size / Valued at $12.95

” A beautifully textured hand cream that will hydrate your hands and nourish your nails in no time. Made with a organic blend of nourishing vegetable oils and soothing butters. Hydrating macadamia oil, sweet almond oil and rich cocoa butter is added to give suppleness to the skin and nourishment to the nails.”

Hand cream is one of my most prised possessions, your hands are one of the first signs of aging so I keep hand creams in my bedside table, in my bag, in my car and in my office. I never say no to a new hand cream and was pretty happy with this cream as 50ml is a decent amount of hand cream.

The cream contains lavender, patchouli, mandarin, roman chamomile and geranium essential oils and just smells amazing, it reminded me of my relaxing essential oil mixture I use at home. The cream is a soft consistency and absorbs straight into the skin, this cream is without out a doubt a new favourite, I have also headed straight over to the Seed Natural Organic Skincare website and started looking into some more skin care products and essential oils.

// Inika Ultimate Lip Tint Cosmetic //

Full Size / Valued at $25.00

“A beautiful sheer shade of rosey red, with a hint of shimmer. The natural, nourishing formula, including Sunflower Oil, Caster Oil and Coconut Oil, leaves lips soft and conditioned.”

I would love all my reviews to be sunshine and lollipops but ignoring the negatives doesn’t really create a great review now does it. I really wanted to love this lip tint but it just wasn’t right, I found the colour extremely sheer even with multiple layers but the glittery shimmer is quite bold, overpowering and reminded me of something I would have worn as a little girl. I found the applicator hard to use, it wouldn’t wind well and then once I manage to wind it out it wouldn’t unwind which meant I had to push it back down to avoid being smashed into the lid.

I checked out the Inika website and they have a bunch of beautiful looking lipsticks and brushes but seem rather expensive so I might have to hide any transactions from Dylan (just kidding).

// Yoga Glow Detox Mask //

10 grams / Sample Size / Valued at $7.00

“Based on Ayurvedic Yogic beauty rituals, Yoga glow is made from nutrient rich natural ingredients, effective in combating free radical damage to our skin, bind impurities, as well as cleansing & antiseptic properties!”

Let me just start by saying I am in love with this clay mask, I love treating myself to a little relaxation time with a face mask and a cup of tea so of course I plastered this on my face once I got home (I then followed it up with the Jojoba Company Australian Jojoba face oil).

This mask is quite thick and grainy, smells fairly nice not that dirty smell it you can sometimes get with a clay mask. It dried quickly and felt very rejuvenating but does start to flake off slightly as soon as it starts to dry.

5 out of 5 stars

Of course I had to take a super lame picture of me wearing it because why waste a perfectly good snapchat! I will be buying a Yoga Glow Detox Mask again soon and would recommend it to my sisters for sure.

Well that is everything I got for my Autumn Vegan Beauty Box, I am super happy with pretty much all the products and will be buying a few of these items soon!

*This post is a true review, I purchased the Beauty Box myself and was in no way reimbursed for this review*
